John 15:16, Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. Ordained is to have a relationship that is in spirit and truth. Life on this earth is just like a puff of smoke. It's here and gone in comparison to eternity. Let’s start with John 17:1, These words spake Jesus and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee. As thou hast given him power over all flesh… When we are born again, the power of the flesh is to become silent and removed. Paul says death, where is your sting now that we have overcome? Hebrews says labor to enter into His rest. That’s what he’s talking about here in John. Jesus said that the Father has given Him power over all flesh. …that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. We’re going to have a physical body like Jesus did. Jesus had a physical body after He rose from the grave. He still had a hole in His side but He was changed in that the flesh wasn’t the same as it was. We’re going to have flesh but we’re not going to have blood and water and that kind of thing, but we will still be able to eat. We’d be in trouble if we couldn’t eat because we’re supposed to have a wedding feast when we get to heaven. Jesus said I’m not going to drink any of this wine until you’re with Me in eternity. We’re going to have a celebration of Jesus’ blood and His flesh. His flesh was changed from being like ours to an eternal flesh. We don’t know exactly how that works but we know we can still eat because it talks about twelve trees along the river of life that you can eat of. It’s going to be very different than what we have today. We won’t eat because we’re having hunger pains, but we will eat for celebration of the God of heaven. For those that God gave to Jesus. How did God give you and me to Jesus? The Bible says that you didn’t choose Me, I chose you. Many are called but few are chosen. Isn’t that sad? Why is it that many are called but few are chosen? The very first church in Revelation God deals with is the love affair with Him. You’ve lost your first love. What is that? The first shall be last and the last shall be first because many are going to lose their love affair with the Spirit for one reason: there are two love affairs. There is a love affair of the world that is very different from the love affair that you receive from God. If you only have a worldly love affair, you’re going to become cold and indifferent and you won’t be chosen then to do what God has called you to do. But if you are born again and you stay in that place of knowing Christ and Christ knowing you, then you have a love affair of the Spirit. Does it ever say that in the Bible? Worship Me in Spirit and in truth. That’s the key. If you don’t worship Him in Spirit and truth you’re worshipping Him in fire insurance so you don’t go to hell. And that doesn’t work. When you enter into the love affair of the Spirit, you are beginning to enter into His rest. That’s what it takes to enter into His rest: worshipping Him and loving Him by the spirit. In Zechariah it says not by might nor power, but by My spirit. If you really understand what I’m teaching here it’s going to give you another eye. You’re going to see the difference between those that have a love affair for the world but give homage to God once in a while (and are very religious in doing that) and those that truly have God in them. After someone gets married, they begin to know each other better than they did before they were married. That’s what Jesus is saying. I don’t know you. I have recording of what you did, but I don’t know you because I never lived in you to know you and to help you become what you were called to be. Does that make sense? Verse 3, And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. This is eternal life, that you might know the true God. Because from that point on, as we enter into eternity, Christ and the Father are going to live in us and we will have fellowship just like I hoped early in my walk with Him, that He would take my hand and lead me into eternity. It’s going to happen for every person because He’s omnipresent. But for those that He doesn’t know, those that were rejected, what did they say? But Master, we were there when You had healings and You preached. And we were happy when You preached. We were all there. He said, but I don’t know you. Verse 4, I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. Jesus is saying Father, I want You to live in Me and Me in You like we did before I went down on the earth. Because when You live in Me I walk in the glory of who You are and I love You. And He came into this world that you might know Him too, that you can walk in the glory of the living God. Verse 6, I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. In Jewish tradition, before Christ, the father picked the wife for his son. I don’t know if they still do that today or not, but God has chosen the bride for His Son. It’s Jesus that sets you free that the Father might live in you so that He knows you and you will be picked for Him. Verse 7, Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. If I had known that fifty years ago I would have gotten rid of a lot of troubles. Praying for your children to have mates that are chosen in heaven is a wonderful blessing. Verse 12, While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. Does that make it clear what perdition is? Judas was one of those that loved the world but wanted to be with Jesus so he could be in heaven forever. John 13:18, I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me. He says to the other disciples, I’m not talking about you, but there’s one in the group that has lifted up his heels against me. Judas tried to make Jesus do what he wanted, that is, for Him to be king. But he blew it because Jesus was to be the king in the kingdom of God and those that want to be with Him forever and love Him. We’re going to start proving some of the things I said earlier. John 15:16, Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. In Jesus’ name is a big blunder for a lot of people. They say, In Jesus’ name I want that car. No, in what Jesus commissioned you to do, He will give you whatever it takes to get that done. So don’t worry about how you’re going to do it, just come to the place of accepting. I was greatly troubled years ago. There was an evangelist that would come and they were good preachers. I loved to hear them preach. They would have revival meetings for two weeks. But he came out and he preached on hell. I was so angry, I said, God if that’s the way You are, that You will let those dirty, snotty kids that we bring to church just go to hell, then I’m not going to serve you anymore. They have no chance unless God’s spirit can move on them and introduce them to God so they will change and break the generations of wickedness. I went for over a year looking every night, studying and studying. I told God, if this is the way it is I’m not going to serve You anymore; it’s not right. And I was serious too. I said, You’re not going to make me put up with dirty kids. We had as many as 90 kids on that bus. But one night as I slipped into bed at three o’clock in the morning, God came into the room. I knew it was the Lord, and I talked to Him and He said, can you trust Me to do the right thing? And immediately I said, I can. Because I was fighting between the spiritual man and the physical man and I chose the spiritual man and peace came to my soul. I wish that every person had the desire to know God like I did; God never got old to me. I see complacency, I see those that are glad they are getting fed, but which way are you? Are you still of the world that hasn’t overcome it? Jesus has power over all flesh and you are laboring to get free of the world that you might become the spiritual force that it will take to conquer all flesh. I’m preaching the gospel. It’s up to you what you want to do with your soul. It’s not my responsibility. The Lord spoke to one of the prophets and said if you just go out and speak the word and then I’ll take care of the rest. Isaiah 55:10-11 talks about the word. When God releases a word it’s like rain. It comes down and replenishes the earth and makes everything grow. That’s the way His word is. No matter what happens His word will water whoever receives it in to grow and expand and become a new creation. Back to John 15:16, Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. Ordained is to have a relationship that is in spirit and truth. Life on this earth is just like a puff of smoke. It's here and gone in comparison to eternity. Matthew 25:10, And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. A virgin is one that has not defiled themselves from the world. And yet they didn’t make it because of the relationship with God. They didn’t make it. Five virgins made it, five didn’t. God had recordings of them, if He wanted to look them up, He could look them up. He could punch into His computer and see the recordings of them and what they did, but He didn’t know them. He didn’t live in them. He said, the world will see Me no more but I will come to you and you will see. And He did. Many of them thought He was going to come back within just a few years and here it’s been two thousand years plus. But He did come back and He did live in those that God chose and they became faithful. Ephesians 1:4, According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: In love. According as He hath chosen us. We were called, and Paul said he was chosen by Him. Paul still could have not made it, but he was chosen, and God knew what he was going to do down the road. There is no one in here that God could not save. If God lives in you and He has chosen you, then because of His love you get to know each other and the rest comes because you know you’re in Him. We are made to be a rock that crushes wickedness. Here it says, 1 Peter 2:4, To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious. Who is it that is disallowed indeed of men? Those that are religious and of the world but want to come and study the word and then go back to the world and live in the world again will reject those who have relationship. Disallowed indeed by man but chosen of God and precious. I had a man several years ago and he was angry at me. He said, Ok, if you say that you had an experience with God and He ordained you with oil, tell me when it was because when you have something that dramatic you know exactly when it happened. I proceeded to tell him the date and even the time of when it happened. He looked at me. I didn’t say a word and he put his head down and he went away. Verse 5, Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. The sacrifices are you giving up the world and doing His will to accomplish His purpose so that heaven can come to the earth. When we are a stone we are an offence to the world and a stumbling block. Revelation 17:14, These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. Those that are in the army of God are called, chosen, and faithful. You were called and there was a response, then He chose you because He saw you begin to release from the world. Then He continues to labor to bring you out of the world and that love affair brings you into faith that is faithful. You get the faith and the faithfulness and the love affair from God. Everything it took for you to get where you’re at, it was all given to you from heaven. Flesh and blood cannot inherit eternal life. Verse 17, For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. God is going to use kingdom against kingdom to do certain things that are of the physical. And we will do our bidding to silence the wicked. Our job is to keep that ensign in heaven, the standard God has given us, to destroy the power of the wicked, because it’s power of the world. The worldly power cannot inherit the kingdom of God because it’s all flesh and blood. That’s why in Revelation 11 it says not to measure the outer court. The outer court is where you die to Him. That’s good that you’ve died to the world for Him, but you still have to go into the holy place to begin to worship in the spiritual realm where the seven eyes, the table of shewbread, which is the bread of life who is Jesus, and the altar of incense are. The altar of incense is a relationship with God that is a fragrance of your burnt body that the world is burned up in you and you are moving in the direction of God and becoming holy. It is the faithful people that do that. Then they can enter the holy of holies. But it comes from rest. In Hebrews it talks about the labor you have to go through to enter into the rest. Once you get to that place, you can enter into the rest because you have been cleansed and have removed the world from you. Now God won’t have His Spirit polluted from the world for you to be able to walk in the presence of His Spirit that you might do exploits for the living God. Hebrews 4:1, Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering in to his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. For it to have fruit you mix it with I see that and now God has chosen and ordained me to be His vessel to spread the gospel wherever it is or to do a work. Verse 3, For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, and God did rest the seventh day from all his works. And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief. This whole thing of not entering in is letting God do a work and then not protecting it. That’s the worst thing you can do. You don’t want to dishonor God’s labor in you. He may not come back. Or if He does, it may be a long time. I knew a man who was very religious but didn’t know much about the Lord, and he rejected certain things and he rejected them twice. After the second time the Lord spoke to me and said I’ll not come to him again until he’s willing to receive the labor that I’ve put upon him. The labor of the baskets of bread tells you a whole story in itself; not to waste anything God has done for you, even bread. Then it says in verse 11, Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. That’s what the word of God does, separate the spirit of God and the world. Verse 14, Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. God says, I see you all bare. I know everything about you because all I have to do is look. But for Him to know you in a personal walk you have to receive Him in your heart and then He’ll change you. There is a work of the Holy Spirit, there is a work of Jesus, and there is a work of the Father. The work of the Father is for you to become faithful. Hebrews 5:8, Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; The sufferings you have are there to move you into holiness. Verse 9, And being made perfect he became the author of eternal salvation to all of them that obey him. Hebrews 10:22, Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. A true heart is one that worships in truth. Full assurance of faith is the spirit. This is the place of peace. That’s where we get rest. When the enemy is destroyed of the world, we enter into that rest of the thousand years because Jesus and the Father and the Holy Spirit labored for six days. We don’t know how long those days were, but six days, then the seventh day He rested. Verse 23, Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. We’re not playing games with God. He’s the mighty rock. David knew it too. He tested him many times. When he failed he would cry out, save me I’m sinking. Just like Peter. He had so much faith in Jesus he said, Jesus, bid me to come out with You walking on the water. Jesus said, Come. He got there, and his faith went to nothing and he started sinking. He said, save me, save me! Jesus took him by the hand and pulled him back up. O ye of little faith. I hope that each person is doing warfare for their own soul.
